This notebook is specially designed to help you organize and document your business mileage and related vehicle expenses all in one place. It will become an analog reference to complement any tracking system.

Included within these pages is a ‘Things Your Accountant Will Ask For’ template, which serves as a holding space for the information needed at tax time.

You also have an ongoing fill-in mileage log, and a section to record expenses related to your vehicle.

We recommend it be kept in your car or actually with you so that it can be kept up-to-date and an ongoing basis.

Business Expense & Mileage Tracking

This log book was created with the guidance of a Canadian Tax professional who specializes in small business accounting. The intention was to compliment any digital system or function on it's own. It has 3 important sections. Scroll down to see each.

SECTION ONE:

THINGS YOUR ACCOUNTANT WILL ASK FOR

Yes. Literally. One page packed with fill-in spaces for specific things you will be asked for at year end. Think - odometer readings, loan amounts, interest paid etc. Room for information for 2 vehicles.

SECTION TWO:

MILEAGE

Templated pages that include: Vehicle (check box A or B), Location Start/End, Purpose, Odometer Start/End and Total Kilometers.

SECTION THREE:

EXPENSES

The back section of this notebook has templated pages that include the date, receipt (circle yes or no), Tax Category/Type, Total Cost, GST/HST and Details. At the bottom of the page there is a section for the running total and running total GST/HST.

How big is it?

This logbook is 5.5 x 8.5 (139.70 mm x 215.9mm). It has 95 pages total with 68 pages of mileage tracking (204 spaces) and 22 pages of expenses (110 spaces)

What colours does it come in?

Black, Chartreuse Yellow, Dusty Mauve & Deep Evergreen. But...if you are dreaming of a particular colour - get in touch. We just might be able to make it happen. (Please note - colours may vary in real life slightly due to the printing process versus screen resolutions etc)

Is it only in softcover and non-coil?

Yes. During the product development stage we found that for this particular product the softcover, perfect bound books worked well to keep them compact and portable.
